In a strategic move to strengthen health, unity and productivity within the State workforce, Hon. Jibril Onoru-Oiza Abu, Member Representing Ajaokuta State Constituency, on the directive of Hon. Sunday Daku, Assembly Member Representing Bassa State Constituency and Chairman, House Standing Committee on Youths and Sports at the 8th Assembly, led a high-powered delegation of Oxee Healthcare Limited on a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Head of Service, Dr. Elijah Adeiza Evinemi.
The visit centered on exploring viable pathways to institutionalize the Kogi Civil Servants Unity Sports Festival. During the meeting, Oxee Healthcare presented a comprehensive plan for the Festival, designed to build more viable fitness and football events.
The proposed initiative seeks to deploy sports as a tool for sensitization, health promotion and unity among both Federal and State Civil Servants in Kogi State.
According to Hon. Jibril Abu, the next phase of the engagement will involve a visit to the Commissioner, Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, with the vision that His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, will eventually adopt the project as a fully institutionalized Civil Servants Sports Festival for Kogi State.
He further emphasized that the synergy between the Legislature and the Executive remains crucial for the betterment of the State, with good health as the bedrock of a productive service.
“A healthier Kogi is our watchword, and a more productive workforce remains our ultimate target,” Hon. Jibril Abu affirmed.
